Former Wolves, Reading and Millwall star signed for £1m made free agent at 31
Former Wolves and Iceland striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is on the search for a new club this summer after his contract wasn't renewed.
Bolton Wanderers published their retained list and confirmed that the 31-year-old would be leaving the Toughsheet Community Stadium. The Trotters lost 2-0 to Oxford United on Saturday and face another year in League One after losing in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

Hide AdPenning a goodbye message to Bolton, he said on social media: “Dear Bolton Wanderers and fans. My time has come to an end here. It was overall a very enjoyable time which I'll be forever grateful.
"The way the season was and how it all ended was frustrating and not what I had hoped for a variety of reasons - missing the final, injuries, minutes played etc.
“I always tried to express myself on the pitch the best way I could and I do hope that I managed to give you some joy and a smile on your face when leaving the stadium. In the end, that's what matters the most to me.
“I want to thank my team-mates, staff and everyone involved with Bolton Wanderers for everything. I'll be a Wanderers fan for the rest of my life. My son was born here and you made me and my family so welcome. You'll be back up there, the future is bright for this fantastic football club.”

Hide AdBodvarsson spent three years of his career as a Bolton player, scoring 25 goals in 94 games over a three-year-spell. He played 46 times in all competitions this season scoring 10 times, but missed the final three games of the season and all of their play-off matches.
The 64-time Iceland international arrived in England in 2016, joining Wolves for a fee of around £1m from German side 1. FC Kaislerslautern. He spent one year as a player at Molineux, scoring three times in 48 games. Reading sigined him for an undisclosed fee a year later and he had more success with the Royals, with 17 goals in 56 games.
Millwall also exchanged a fee for them, signing him in July 2019, and he found the back of the net seven times in 76 appearances before his contract was terminated in January 2022.
