'He felt something' - Gary O'Neil admits new Wolves injury concern after Liverpool loss
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ injury crisis deepened during Saturday’s Premier League loss at Molineux as Bueno was forced off with an issue midway through the second half.
Wolves were very light at centre-back as it was, so there’s a nervous wait ahead for Bueno’s scan results. The Old Gold failed to replace Maximilian Kilman in the transfer market and then recently lost Yerson Mosquera to a season-ending ACL injury.

“Craig was one of the ones with the virus, still not feeling well at all. Santi Bueno felt something in his glute,” O’Neil confirmed during the post-match press conference.

“We’ve suffered a lot over these last six games but we’ll be ready to go again next week. If anybody thinks there’s any hangover and that we’re feeling sorry for ourselves, the lads are ready to show we’re not. They deserve a lot of credit,” O’Neil said.
Wolves have lost five of their opening six fixtures but there have been many challenges, including the presence of one of the trickiest early fixture runs in recent memory. Statistically, Wanderers have had the hardest list out of any team. The injuries have then been another strain on top.

There’s then a tough test against Manchester City at home before the outlook improves a great deal with games against Brighton, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Fulham.
