The 24-year-old is under contract at FC Porto until 2027 but Olympicos have an option to buy Carmo. A meeting will be held this week to decide his future with Olympiacos keen to sign him again.
Carmo has been linked with a move to England before with former Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday boss claiming Carmo had ‘one foot in Liverpool’. A £17m move to Anfield failed to materialise and he remained in Portugal, moving from Braga to Porto in a fee worth around €20m. He was also linked with a move to Molineux two years ago and was suggested as an ideal replacement for Conor Coady.
He is currently on international duty with Angola after making his debut in March 2024. Carmo is hoping to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Angola defeated Eswatini last week with Carmo playing and they face Cameroon today (June 11) at 8.00 pm.

Grieves is a 14-year-old and a transfer fee need to be paid but because of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) there is a limit as to what Pompey could receive.
The Championship club have included future incentives in to the transfer should the youngster’s career turn out to be a success.
