Gary O'Neil's side are in need of a response after losing 2-0 to West Midlands rivals Aston Villa on Saturday. The defeat has them 10th in the league standings and the latest round of fixtures could see them drop to 12th. Burnley picked up a valuable point away at Stamford Bridge at the weekend, drawing 2-2 with Dara O'Shea equalising after Cole Palmer scored his second of the game.

Wolves don't have the best record against the Clarets at their place, having failed to beat them in their last six meetings at Turf Moor, with their most recent win there being in March 2010. The win earlier on in the campaign against Burnley ended a seven game winless run against them, and Wolves are now on the hunt for their first league double over them since 2010.

Both teams have injuries to contend with, with some players not expected to play a further part in the 2023/24 campaign. Here's the latest injury and team news ahead of kick-off on Tuesday evening.

Wolves team news

Before the international break, Gary O'Neil broke the news that Pedro Neto's season was all but over. He suffered a hamstring injury in the build up to the Coventy City FA Cup defeat, and that's going to put him out until mid-May.

Hee-Chan Hwang is another player that is sidelined with a hamstring problem and so a mid-April return is the most likely outcome. Craig Dawson has been nursing a groin injury and he didn't recover in time to play against Aston Villa, but he's someone who could have a late fitness test.

Matheus Cunha is expected to play a part. He has been sidelined with a hamstring issue since mid-February and missed a large block of fixtures, but could at least find himself among the substitute's in Lancashire.

In his pre-match press conference, O'Neil said: "He's miles ahead of schedule. When the scan results came through it was expected to be 10-12 weeks but it's been just over six and he's doing absolutely everything. He was knocking my door down to be involved in the Villa game but we have to make sure it's right.

"We have medical information telling us he shouldn't be ready yet but then we've got Matheus Cunha who looks ready and tells you he's ready. He's rang me about five times at 10 o'clock at night telling me how ready he is."

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has a knee injury that he is unlikely to recover from for Tuesday's game. He's being assessed but a return to action at the weekend seems the most likely outcome.

Burnley team news

Aaron Ramsey's season was brought to an end in February. The former Aston Villa man suffered a serious knee injury and is expected to return in November.

Former Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond is also expected to play no further part in the Clarets season. He has a thigh injury that he sustained in training, but it required him to undergo surgery and so he will be unable to impact whether they go down or not.

Luca Koleosho has been dealing with a long-term injury. He is still in the rehabilitation phase and is being tipped for a return in early May. Lorenz Assignon is to miss the game after getting carded twice in the draw against Chelsea. Manager Vincent Kompany wasn't too pleased and he was sent to the stands also.

Ameen Al-Dakhil and Jordan Beyer are both likely to miss out. They've been tipped for a return next weekend.
