Wolverhampton Wanderers are 20th in the Premier League standings as the World Cup plays out in Qatar and they are four points deep into the relegation zone.
It has been a woeful season, to say the least, and new manager Julen Lopetegui will have quite the challenge to get Wolves up and out of the bottom three.
In order to get closer to the club’s aims, Lopetegui is likely to dip his toes into the transfer market this January, and he may also say farewell to a few players as he looks to implement his own playing style.
Having taken over at Molineux in mid-November, the Spaniard has now had a few weeks to assess the current crop and he is likely getting closer to deciding which positions need improving.
As is the nature of bringing in fresh faces, some individuals will have to depart to make way. With that in mind, here are the 10 players who are the likeliest to depart Wolves in the January transfer window.

1. Raul Jimenez
It awaits to be seen what Lopetegui will decide after plenty of speculation about a falling out between the player and club. Jimenez went to the World Cup with Mexico despite being called to return for rehabilitation in England. | Getty Images

2. Ruben Neves
Has been heavily linked with a move away this winter, with the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea holding a strong interest. Wolves are unlikely to keep the player against his will, as long as a big enough bid arrives. | Getty Images

3. Connor Ronan
Remains under contract until 2024 but has only played eight games for the first team since 2016 after countless loan moves. Fans probably won’t see that number increasing any further. | Getty Images

4. Yerson Mosquera
It’s a possibility that Mosquera leaves on loan to build up some match fitness after suffering a season ending injury last season. He is yet to feature at all this campaign, so it makes sense for all parties. | Getty Images
