Wolves are reported to be one of several clubs interested in signing Bristol City striker Tommy Conway.

The 21-year-old netted in the third minute as the Championship side knocked out last seasons Europa Conference League winners West Ham on Tuesday night. Conway scored against David Moyes’ side earlier this month and his performance caught the eye of Wolves and several other clubs.

Football Insider report that Wolves along with their two Premier League rivals Brentford and Nottingham Forest are tracking Conway. Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and Rangers are also keping tabs. Conway has been on the radar of many clubs since his breakout campaign last year and is regarded as one of the best young players in the Championship.

Conway is has eight goals in 22 games this season despite missing a chunk of the campaign through injury. He was the top scorer for the West Country outfit last season with 12 goals in 38 games.

Bristol City have proven to be tough negotiators and a transfer saga throughout the summer was Wolves’ pursuit of Alex Scott. Scott was said to be a priority target for Julen Lopetegui but a move could not be finalised and he ended up joining AFC Bournemouth for a reported £25m.

A move in January seems unlikely given the nature of the window, but Conway did admit that he holds ambitions of playing for Scotland's senior team. He has represented them at under-21 level and his form could see him emerge as a contender for their EURO 2024 squad. If he were to get a move to a Premier League team and he was playing regularly, it could provide a strong case to Steve Clarke.

Gary O’Neil is in the market for a striker however a permanent move is unlikely this month. Several strikers have been linked with a move to Molineux and Wolves are said to be in favour of a loan move. Chelsea striker Armando Broja was the latest name to be linked and a departure from Stamford Bridge seems likely.

David Ornstein a journalist for The Athletic reports that Chelsea will allow Broja to leave this month if a 'suitable offer' is received. Wolves have confirmed transfer interest along with Fulham and West Ham, and Broja's departure does not hinge on whether Mauricio Pochettino lands a new striker.
