West Bromwich Albion’s final warm up game ahead of the 2022/23 Championship campaign gets underway this weekend and it comes in the shape of Bundesliga outfit, Hertha Berlin.

This will be the last time Steve Bruce gets to experiment prior to the opener against Middlesbrough on July 30 so fans will likely see a rough blueprint for what the manager is likely to do a week on Saturday.

The game takes place at West Brom’s home of The Hawthorns on Saturday July 23 with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 BST.

Is West Brom vs Hertha Berlin on TV?

No. Sadly, the game won’t be broadcast live on TV or WBATV. Full match highlights will be posted via the latter and on YouTube following the contest, though.

Tickets are still also available for those wanting to attend the game in person and are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Team news

Latest signing Okay Yokuslu is unlikely to feature as he awaits news on his Visa and even if granted, Bruce admits that the midfielder has a lot of catching up to do after missing an entire pre-season.

We will likely see a rough starting line-up of what to expect against Middlesbrough in the Championship the following week.

Former Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic could feature for Hertha whilst other familiar names such as Kevin-Prince Boateng and recently departed Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny will also be looking for minutes.

Head-to-head record

Unsurprisingly these two have never met in a competitive fixture to date.

The German outfit have two defeats in their last two friendly games to English opposition losing 1-0 and 3-1 to Derby County and Nottingham Forest respectively.

West Brom will be looking to make it a hat-trick and land a 100% record over the Bundesliga outfit in their first ever outing.
