West Bromwich Albion will be hoping to get back to winning ways when the Championship returns on October 1.

The Baggies are without a win in their last five league games leaving them 21st in the table, one place above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Steve Bruce’s side have won just one of their 10 opening league games, drawing seven and losing twice.

Despite their poor league position Albion are the fourth highest-scoring team in the division, netting 15 times.

The Baggies drew 1-1 with Norwich City in their last outing, their fourth draw in five games.

Albion will welcome Swansea City to the Hawthorns on Saturday and will be looking to secure their second win of the season.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the 10 best performing Baggies players in the Championship, according to SofaScore.

10 - Semi Ajayi - 6.71

The centre-back started all of Albion’s first seven league games, but suffered a knee and ankle injury against Wigan Athletic. He helped the club keep one clean sheet during that time, while averaging 2.3 clearances per game.

9 - Darnell Furlong - 6.89

The full-back scored his first goal of the campaign in the Baggies’ 5-2 win over Hull City and has created two big chances so far.

8 - Erik Pieters - 6.90

The experienced defender has made two appearances for the club since his free transfer on September 13. He has won 100% of his ground duels and provides cover for left-back and centre-back if needed.

2 - Brandon Thomas-Asante - 7.17
