Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley has praised West Brom goalkeeper Josh Griffiths.

The League One side swooped to land the youngster on loan this past summer. His manager has said, as per The News:

“Josh is 21 – and it amazes me that he’s 21.

‘He’s so mature, an intelligent boy, able to take information on, has a really calming influence on the group, and been a really good signing.

“I think it’s unnecessary to compare him and Gavin (Bazunu) because they are both excellent goalkeepers in their own right.

Celtic boss reveals why West Brom new boy left the Hoops

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has said West Brom new boy Tom Rogic left Glasgow because he needed a ‘change’ of scene.

The Australia has joined the Baggies on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Celtic Park in late June.

His former manager has said, as per Adelaide Now:

“He’s a legend at Celtic but at the same time he spent his whole adult life there and I could sense that he just needed a change.

Fellow Championship side in hunt for new boss

Rotherham United are in the hunt for a new boss following Paul Warne’s exit today.

He has left the Millers for a new challenge in League One with Derby County.

Steve Bruce reveals transfer blow from the summer

Steve Bruce has revealed that he tried to re-sign Matt Clarke on loan in the last transfer window, as per the Express and Star.

However, the defender ended up moving to Middlesbrough on a permanent basis so the Midlands club missed out.

Former academy player joins new club

Former West Brom academy player Noah Smerdon, who has also played for League One side Exeter City in the past, has been snapped up by Merthyr Town.
