West Brom v Middlesbrough injury news as 6 out and 4 doubts
The Baggies are in search of a response after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. Josh Maja and Alex Mowatt scored to get WBA back on level terms but conceded just minutes later, with the Owls giving West Brom their first league defeat of the season.
Despite the defeat, West Brom remained top as Sunderland lost to Watford at Vicarage Road. There's a chasing pack however, as anyone from Sunderland to seventh-placed Watford could overtake WBA if they lose, and results go agaisnt them.

West Brom team news
Alex Mowatt only trained with the squad on Friday, after training on his own on Thursday. He came off the bench and scored, before Wednesday restored their lead. Mowatt had been contending with a niggle in his groin, but he didn't consider it serious, and his goal may have played his way in to the starting line-up.
Daryl Dike is a few weeks off from making a return to action. He is currently working with the coaches and medical team, and should he come through those tests unscathed, he could target a November or December return. The USA striker has been out since February after suffering an Achilles injury, which was the second he had suffered during his time at the Hawthorns, however this was on a different leg from the first.
Midfielder Jayson Molumby was an unused substitute after dealing with a calf injury. He’s back in the manager’s thinking, having started the first five league games of the campaign.
Out: Daryl Dike

Summer signing Conway isn't expected to be out long-term, but he suffered an injury in training, which needs to be assessed. Neither he nor Matt Clarke were in the squad for the win against Stoke City, but they aren’t expected to be out long-term.
Speaking to Teesside Live, manager Michael Carrick said: “Clarkey picked up a bit of a knock at the end of the Sunderland game. We thought he’d be alright but we’ll just have to see how that settles down. Tommy in training this week picked up a bit of a niggle. Again, we’ll have to see with that.
"Neither were able to play today but we’ll see if they’re able to play on Tuesday or Saturday [away to Watford]. We’re not quite sure yet, but it’s not long-term for either. At the very latest, after the international break, but they’re both pushing before then."
Alex Bangura was forced to undergo surgery on his Achilles after suffering a problem during pre-season. The left-back is expected to be out until the New Year. Marcus Forss has been a long-term absentee, but is back fit, however with the striker out for such a long period, Carrick is trying to choose the right time to reintroduce him to the fold.

Hide AdJonny Howson suffered an injury against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup at the end of August, and was unlikely to play at the weekend. Alex Gilbert twisted his knee during training in the build-up to the Sunderland game. It was feared it might be a serious injury but as they await further scans, it appears it might be just a couple of weeks.
Dael Fry, Darragh Lenihan, and Tommy Smith are all long-term absentees. All three players haven’t played a competitive game for the club this season, as they all recover from injury.
Out: Alex Bangura, Alex Gilbert, Dael Fry, Darragh Lenihan, and Tommy Smith. Doubt: Jonny Howson, Marcus Forss, Matt Clarke and Tommy Conway.
