West Brom are back in Championship action this Saturday lunchtime as they play host to Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns.
Tony Mowbray’s side will be desperate to bounce back after the shock 2-1 defeat away at 24th-placed Plymouth Argyle last time out. Albion failed to hold onto a lead as Ryan Hardie’s brace claimed all three points for last weekend’s hosts after Jayson Molumby’s opening goal.

Hide AdThis Saturday’s fixture is absolutely pivotal as Wednesday, in tenth place and just two points behind Albion with the same amount of games played, are firmly in the play-off fight. Danny Rohl’s side are on an absolute roll this season - pardon the the pun - and will be confident they can cause an upset at the Shrine.
Two new signings could make their debuts this weekend as West Brom seek to solve their attacking inconsistencies. The Baggies failed to score against Middlesbrough and put just one past Plymouth but were on fire in the 5-1 win over Portsmouth.

It’s hoped the additions of Tottenham Hotspur’s Will Lankshear and Southampton’s Adam Armstrong - both on loan - can add some much-needed firepower. Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Tammer Bany - a £3.3 million addition from Randers - is yet to train with the squad but could be available for the midweek clash with Blackburn Rovers.
Mowbray’s attention must also turn to the other end of the team, however, as Alex Palmer’s £5 million deadline day departure for Ipswich Town leaves the Baggies in a tricky spot. Mowbray must choose between Joe Wildsmith and Josh Griffiths as his new goalkeeper and it’s not straightforward.

West Brom predicted lineup vs Sheffield Wednesday
GK - Josh Griffiths: It’s a difficult choice between the experience of Wildsmith or the promise of Griffiths, but we think Mowbray will opt for the latter.
RB - Darnell Furlong: Previously one of Carlos Corberan’s star men and now transitioned into a new era, Furlong is one of Albion’s most reliable players.
CB: Kyle Bartley: The veteran defender has now recovered from his fitness woes and should come in to add experience and leadership to the back line.

LB - Callum Styles: Another decent addition from the summer, Styles has made the left-back his own ahead of Gianluca Frabotta.
RM - Tom Fellows: Still at the club despite interest from the Premier League, Fellows is determined to help Albion finish in the play-off positions.
CM - Alex Mowatt: A starter in all three of Mowbray’s games to date, Mowatt is bound to continue his run in the heart of the team.

LM - Mikey Johnston: The Irishman has been a little hot and cold at times but his creativeness on the left should benefit the new strikers leading the line.
ST - Will Lankshear: In from Spurs, potential debutant Lankshear joined Albion for guaranteed game time. Tammer Bany, meanwhile will join up with the squad next week.
ST - Adam Armstrong: The Baggies’ dramatic late deadline day signing from Southampton could prove pivotal in the race for a top-six finish. Armstrong scored 23 Championship goals last season.
