West Brom confirm transfer exits of 18 players including £6m signing and Celtic star


West Brom have confirmed that Matt Phillips along with Adam Reach, Nathaniel Chalobah and Erik Pieters will leave the club this summer.
The contracts of all experienced quartet are expiring this summer and they will not be signing new terms. Yann M'Vila who signed a short-term deal in the winter will be departing following a short stay as well as Martin Kelly and youngster Jovan Malcolm. All seven players made first-team appearances over various stages of their careers.

Hide AdMatt Phillips signed from QPR for a reported £6m and the longest serving player out of those leaving, posted on social media that he was departing the club on Tuesday (May 21). He hailed Carlos Corberan as 'unbelievable' and wished the club well for the future.
Youngsters Jamie Andrews, Bradley Foster, Aaron Harper-Bailey, Narel Phillips, Ruben Shakpoke, Cheick Kone and Jenson Sumnall will also be departing the Hawthorns this summer. Mikey Johnston, Andi Weimann and Callum Marshall as well as Pipa have seen their loans come to an end.
Weimann has been released by Bristol City and will become a free agent this summer, whilst Marshall had already returned to West Ham early. Pipa was limited to 13 games, 12 of which were as a substitute, whilst Johnson was a success, scoring seven goals in 20 games after joining from Celtic.
In a message to those who see their loans an contracts expire, the club said: “The club would like to thank all departing players for their efforts during their time at The Hawthorns and wishes them every success in the future.”

Hide AdThe club has made contract offers to Alex Mowatt, Cedric Kipre and Kyle Bartley who have been prominent members of the first-team. Ted Cann has been offered a new deal along with seven others; Reyes Cleary, Fenton Heard, Ethan Ingram, Evan Humphries, Archie Kirton, Deago Nelson and Adriel Walker.
West Brom have also chosen to activate the clauses in the contracts of Layton Love, Josh Shaw and Reece Hall, automatically extending their stay at the club. Love scored five goals in 14 Premier League 2 games last season and had a loan spell at Brackley.
