West Brom will aim for consistency in their performances when they host Huddersfield Town this weekend after their tight win over Wigan Athletic on Tuesday. Carlos Corberan’s side produced a professional showing to beat the Championship strugglers and propel them to within four points of the play-off places.

The Baggies scored through Daryl Dike who bagged his third goal in two Hawthorns matches to seal victory for the home side. His headed strike took him up to six second-tier goals for the campaign, leaving him as the club’s league top scorer.

Away side Huddersfield have struggled this season, sitting second-bottom of the division but have picked up a couple of positive results amidst 4-0 drubbings to Burnley and Coventry respectively. New Terriers boss Neil Warnock is infamous amongst Baggies supporters following his role in the ‘Battle of Bramall Lane’ which saw three Sheffield United players sent off with Albion 3-0 up.

Warnock has only won one of his first four games in charge but picked up an important point against in-form Bristol City on Tuesday night to lift them off the foot of the league. Meanwhile, Albion will hope to brush off the fatigue that saw them struggle over the line in midweek with hopes of a top-six place still in sight.

Corberan has injury problems to contend with, but here’s how we think the Baggies will line-up on Saturday.

GK - Josh Griffiths

Kept a second consecutive home clean sheet on Tuesday and will hope for more of the same at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

RB - Darnell Furlong

Defensively solid when facing Wigan’s wide overlaps, a certainty to retain his place.

CB - Dara O’Shea

Another clean sheet for Albion’s captain and a good performance to back it up.

CB - Erik Pieters

Forced off through injury for the second home match in a row, but should be available for this one.

LB - Conor Townsend

Made some useful runs down the left against Wigan and is likely to keep his place in the side amidst a lack of depth at full-back.

CM - Okay Yokuslu

Possibly Albion’s best performer on Tuesday night, the Turk looked composed at the base of his side’s midfield. When fit he should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

CM - Jayson Molumby

Ran himself into the ground but was replaced by Nathaniel Chalobah, who didn’t impress enough when he came on.

CAM - John Swift

The attacking midfielder looked at home with his showing against Wigan and dictated the tempo of the game - expect to see him in a similar role.

LM - Marc Albrighton

Hasn’t enjoyed a great start to life at the Baggies, but the former Aston Villa man will retain his place amidst injury issues on that side.

RM - Jed Wallace

The winger has started all 35 of Albion’s league games this season, we expect him to continue that run on Saturday.

ST - Daryl Dike

Tuesday night’s goalscoring hero, Dike was a menace for the Latics defenders to deal with and will hope to score again.
