West Brom pair are Championship's deadliest duo this season with Norwich City and Leeds United men just behind
Despite a recent blip of poor form, West Bromwich Albion have been enjoying a strong start to the 2024/25 Championship season - and much of their success can be credited to the efforts of Tom Fellows and Josh Maja.
So far, Maja is the joint top scorer in the Championship [via WhoScored] alongside Borja Sainz, with seven goals from nine appearances. Meanwhile, Fellows has five assists from nine games, giving him the highest assist tally of any player in the division.

However, they are not the only pair of players who have developed a strong understanding with each other - there are two other duos in the Championship who have been impressing audiences.
First of all, you have Norwich City’s Borja Sainz and Callum Doyle. Sainz has seven goals under his belt, while Doyle has notched up three assists. After last season’s disappointment, the Canaries look like a much improved outfit and with 16 goals from nine games, they are the second highest scorers in the Championship, just behind league leaders Sunderland.
Meanwhile, there is also Leeds United’s Willy Gnonto and Joel Piroe. Italian international Gnonto has notched up four assists, alongside two goals - Piroe, meanwhile, has four goals and one assist to his name. Leeds have had a season of peaks and valleys in their opening few games, but have the potential to be a formidable outfit if they can iron out certain mistakes.
