West Bromwich Albion put in a spirited performance on Monday evening to draw 1-1 with fellow promotion hopeful’s Watford.

Ismaila Sarr gave the visitors the lead thanks to a stunning goal from inside his own half before Karlan Grant levelled things up right before the break.

Sarr had the chance to win the game from the spot for the Hornets in second-half but fired a tame effort right at the legs of David Button.

Albion themselves had a number of chances to win the game but lacked a cutting-edge in front of goal and instead saw the match end all square.

Here’s a snippet of the Baggies reaction from the contest.

@PaulFGR_WBA: Livermoore needs to go, grant needs to take chances not just 1 every 10, button ok saves pen but he’s no more than a back up keeper at best.

@_H74_9: Great performance. Need to be more Ruthless infront of Goal. Grady and Ajayi looking more and more like themselves. Hopefully Dike injury is not as bad as we think and Okay looking class as always.

@bigtom151982: How on earth did that finish 1-1!!!! Bring on Sunday Rovers away

@andipurewal: One of the most frustrating games I’ve seen in a while. Created plenty but desperate for a striker who can score 1 in every 2 chances. Still, good to be back!

@BlackJack42B: Very unlucky not to come away with a win. Watford keeper made 3 quality saves. Every man player their part. Encouraging signs. Semi MOTM for me. Livermore played well. Kept it ticking. I don’t get fans agenda with him. That being said I’d play Okay and Mulumby Sunday.

@ToastedJonas: Need to sign a striker now. Creating chances isn’t a problem. Livermore needs binning too.

@islaxjackson: Cracking encouraging performance all over the pitch. Just need to put those chances away! Onwards and upwards! #wba Boing Boing
