Another couple of points against a team who had won just once in their last 18 league matches would have put West Brom three off the top six but they were rattled by Rangers dragging their way back into the match and never really recovered.
Brandon Thomas-Asante and Semi Ajayi had the Baggies cruising wthin 13 minutes of kick off but Lyndon Dykes’ header pulled the visitors back into the match and not long into the second half a mistake at the back led to Chris Martin charging down Josh Griffiths’ clearance and the ball went straight into the West Brom goal.
