West Bromwich Albion are in action on Good Friday as they take on Rotherham United away from home in the Sky Bet Championship. The Baggies will be desperate to get back to winning ways after failing to win a huge play-off six-pointer against Millwall last week, drawing 0-0.
It was a disappointing display at The Hawthorns as Albion managed to get just one of their 16 shots on target. One positive was a fourth clean sheet in the last six games - as Josh Griffiths kept returnee Alex Palmer out of the team - but fans couldn’t help but feel it was a missed opportunity.
Now, though, there is a chance to go again in the charge for more points toward the top six push. Rotherham, who are fighting relegation, are in 19th place in the league table ahead of Friday’s game. They have won just one of their last five matches, drawing two and losing a couple.
The Millers have been fairly tricky to beat this season, though, with only Bristol City losing fewer games in the Championship bottom half. With that in mind, and taking into account the lack of clinical edge last weekend, we think Carlos Corberan will make a few changes to the team that faced Millwall.
Lining up in a 4-2-3-1 shape, here is the starting XI we predict West Brom to go for at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. See below.

5. CB: Erik Pieters
Has been consistently in the Baggies starting XI and that is unlikely to change, even with a new centre back partner. | Getty Images

6. LB: Conor Townsend
The best option Albion have at left-back, Corberan will be hoping for more of an attacking involvement from Townsend this time out. | Getty Images

7. CDM: Nathaniel Chalobah
Had a decent game against Millwall with plenty of defensive contributions. Looked calm on the ball as well – just needs to progress up the field a bit better. | Getty Images

8. CDM: Taylor Gardner-Hickman
Comes in for the injured Okay Yokuslu, with the decision down to his defensive capabilities - as well as his versatility. Good to see TGH back in the XI, but Yokuslu is a huge miss. | Getty Images
