Despite the earlier kick-off with the match being broadcast live on Sky Sports, there were only 80 less people in attendance to when the two sides met at the end of December. In fact, there were 1,278 more fans at West Brom's first home game of the season this time around compared to last year when they hosted Swansea City.

All 24 teams have now played at home, and 23 of them have supplied their attendance figures. No official figure was given for West Brom's opening game with QPR, but it was estimated by FanBanter that more than 1,700 Baggies fans made the trip to West London.

The largest crowd recorded over the first two weeks of the Championship was the 40,022 in attendance at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland ran out 4-0 winners against Sheffield Wednesday. Eliezer Mayenda was twice on target for the Black Cats with Dennis Cirkin and Luke O'Nien also on target.

At the opposite end of the table, Oxford United’s 2-0 win against Norwich City on the opening day had 11,333 in attendance, but the Kassam Stadium which only has three stands, only holds 12,500, and so the ground was actually quite full. Luton Town suffered a 4-1 defeat to Burnley last Monday, and that was watched by 11,777 people, but again Kenilworth Road only holds 12,056 fans.
