Former West Brom forward Andi Weimann is reportedly training with a Championship rival.
Andi Weimann, who was on loan at the Hawthorns is a free agent after being released by Bristol City. It has been confirmed that Weimann is on trial at Blackburn Rovers with John Eustace wanting a closer look at the Austrian international.

West Brom were the third club from the West Midlands that Weimann had played for having begun his career at Aston Villa whilst also having a loan spell with Wolves in 2017.
Weimann recently competed at EURO 2024, and played a minute in the 3-2 group stage win over the Netherlands, for the other games including their Round of 16 exit to Turkey, he was an unused substitute.
Blackburn have League One side Stockport County in a pre-season friendly on Friday, August 2, and that run out at Edgeley Park is where Weimann could get his chance to impress. They face Derby County on the opening weekend of the Championship season, and these next few days will be crucial on whether Blackburn and Weimann are a good fit.
Earlier this summer, it was reported that the Baggies had been interested in re-signing Weimann. They were said to have competition from Sturm Graz and Italian side Udinese, but now Blackburn looks the most likeliest of destinations.

If Weimann does sign a deal at Ewood Park, then he will face West Brom on October 23, and then his return to the Hawthorns would be on February 12.
