Ex-West Brom, Crystal Palace and West Ham boss 'contacted' over Championship job

Burnley are reported to have made contact with former West Brom boss Alan Pardew over their managerial vacancy, according to a report.
According to The Sun, the former Baggies manager has been contacted as the Clarets continue their search to find a successor to Vincent Kompany. The Belgian left to take up the reins at Bayern Munich last week and in the mean time Craig Bellamy and Mike Jackson are in charge of first-team affairs.

Hide AdPardew hasn't worked in English football for six years with his last job being an ill-fated spell at The Hawthorns. He replaced Tony Pulis as manager in November 2017, signing a three-year deal. At the time of his arrival, West Brom had been without a victory in 10 league games and were a point above the relegation zone.
Pardew could not turn the fortunes of the club around and he was sacked with just three wins in 21 games, with the club 10 points from safety with six games remaining. Darren Moore succeeded Pardew on a caretaker basis but could not stop the club from being relegated, despite winning the Manager of the Month award.
Since leaving West Brom, Pardew has worked abroad in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Greece. At ADO Den Haag, he won once in eight games and left after the season was ended early because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pardew had a short stint in Bulgaria, managing CSKA Sofia for seven matches, again he only won one match. In Greece, he had a much better record, getting nine wins out of 22, but departed in February 2023.
