Young West Brom striker Rayhaan Tulloch is catching the eye of Sheffield Wednesday, whose boss Darren Moore is poised to make a loan swoop for the remainder of the campaign.

Tulloch, 20, is well acquainted with the Owls manager having worked with him during Moore’s time at the helm at the Hawthorns and Doncaster Rovers, so a loan move into League One looks a strong possibility.

Striker Tulloch, who has come up through the West Brom Academy having spent his whole career with the Baggies, is a regular in the development squad and has made one first team appearance this season.

Tulloch was the outstanding performer as he bagged a goal and an assist in West Brom reserves’ 2-1 win over Aston Villa in Premier League 2 last night.

Albion boss Valerien Ismael is unlikely to stand in the way of a loan move for Tulloch, who is also believed to be interesting another League One side - Fleetwood Town.

However, the chance to work with Moore at Hillsborough and help the South Yorkshire side’s push for a play-off place makes the Owls favourites for Tulloch’s signature should the clubs agree a deal.

Update on another Albion youngster

Lincoln City manager and former West Brom midfielder Michael Appleton has confirmed keeper Josh Griffiths will remain with the Imps for the rest of the season.

The highly-rated 21-year-old signed a new contract with Albion in the summer which runs until 2025 but was immediately loaned out to Lincoln for the campaign.

As expected, Albion have decided not to exercise their January recall option despite speculation over the future of England keeper Sam Johnstone and Griffiths will remain an Imp as he looks to build on his performances which have improved throughout the season.

Griffiths, who helped Cheltenham Town to the League Two title last season, is highly regarded at West Brom who would not consider a permanent transfer at this stage.
