It has been claimed that the 27-year-old is set to join West Brom on loan, while Lazio are looking to include an option to buy in the deal.

Valerien Ismael’s side have already signed Orlando City forward Daryl Dike and are now looking to add more competition up top with the arrival of Muriqi.

The Baggies have struggled with consistency this season and will hope that the attacking duo can help them in their bid to win promotion, with the club currently sitting fifth in the Championship.

Who is Vedat Muriqi?

Vedat Muriqi has struggled for goals since he signed for Lazio in September 2020, but the striker impressed during his time in Turkey previously.

Prior to his £18 million move to Italy, Muriqi spent six years in Turkey and most recently enjoyed a superb spell with Fenerbahce - scoring 15 goals and assisting another five in 32 league appearances.

The forward has made 37 appearances for Kosovo and most noticeably provided a goal and two assists in a 5-3 loss against England in September 2019.

He is the current top scorer of the Kosovan national team.
