Two new Wolves transfers 'in the works' amid talks with Saudi and Spanish clubs

Wolves could yet let Jose Sa and Chiquinho depart the club before the end of the summer transfer window, though the former’s move could drag on until beyond the English deadline.
Our sister publication, Express & Star, reports Wolves are not planning on taking Sa on their travels to Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they seek a transfer away for the goalkeeper. A move to the Saudi Pro League is said to be in the works, with new signing Sam Johnstone set to make his debut for the Old Gold.

Hide AdChiquinho, meanwhile, could be set to join La Liga side Mallorca on a loan deal as they are his likeliest suitor. An earlier report from Express & Star suggested Wolves were searching for a late temporary move away for Chiquinho after finding a breakthrough in talks with Ajax for Carlos Forbs.
Some Wolves fans may be surprised at the wilingness to let Chiquinho go after he impressed during the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Burnley. There were also promising performances during pre-season, with the 24-year-old giving Gary O’Neil plenty to ponder.

As it is, though, Chiquinho, who cost £3.2 million from Estoril Praia in January 2022, looks likely to move away for the rest of the campaign. It’s not a definite, though, with plenty more still to be done and the deal only to be given the green light if Forbs is signed.
Wolves’ business could go right to the wire as there are just a few hours left until the 11pm deadline. The Premier League deal sheets could be utilised if needed but the majority of details must be finalised for those to be acquired.
