Former Aston Villa man could make ‘shock’ Leicester City move

Per a report from The Mirror, Danny Drinkwater is eyeing up a shock return to Leicester - six years since the midfielder quit the Foxes for Chelsea. The 33-year old has a brief loan spell at Aston Villa in 2020 and has turned out for multiple clubs across the Premier League and EFL including Burnley, Watford and Huddersfield Town.

The three times capped England international was on loan at Reading during the 2021/22 season but made just one appearance in his final four years at Stamford Bridge. He said: “I’d one hundred per cent go back to Leicester, it’s a special place for me. To help them get back to the Premier League is something I’d love to do.”

According to The Telegraph, Wolves are set to make a £20 million plus bid for highly rated Bristol City teenager Alex Scott. Julen Lopetegui is said to be keen on 19-year-old midfielder with Bournemouth and West Ham also thought to be interested.
