Data experts predict where Aston Villa, Wolves, Arsenal and Everton will finish after transfers - gallery

The transfer window has closed with records smashed in the Premier League – but where are Aston Villa, Wolves, Everton and rivals now tipped to finish?

It was a quiet deadline day for West Midlands sides Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers, with no incomings for either side. Wolves conducted no business whatsoever in the final 24 hours – not even an outgoing on loan. The Villans at least had some action as they let a few players leave on a permanent basis, but it was a near-silent close to the window.

Three of Unai Emery’s squad departed on loans until the end of the current campaign – central defender Lamar Bogarde to Bristol Rovers, playmaker Aaron Ramsey to Middlesbrough, and defensive midfielder Marvelous Nakamba to Luton. Bertrand Traore’s loan recall offers some hope. Look across town and there was a late flurry of activity at West Bromwich Albion, but Birmingham City also did very little.

Other teams in the Premier League, meanwhile, were far more active. Chelsea broke the British transfer record to bring in Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for around £106 million, whereas Jorginho went to Arsenal and Marcel Sabitzer headed on loan to Manchester United. Other big deals included Keylor Navas to Nottingham Forest and Harry Soutar to Leicester City.

After plenty of last-ditch deals, hard work and determination, all the wheeling and dealing is now at a standstill until the summer. With the season around halfway done at this stage, the transfers completed throughout January could make for an exciting end to the campaign. With that in mind, here is the latest predicted final Premier League table, from top to bottom, based on the latest bookies’ odds. See below.
