Former Birmingham City loan signing Przemyslaw Placheta is set to sign for Swansea City on Deadline Day.

The former Poland international is quite the forgotten man among the St Andrew's faithful as he made just five appearances on loan during the first half of the 2022/23 season. Placheta scored during just his second game but saw his campaign crumble due to a shin injury. He then saw his loan terminated in January 2023 to allow Blues to sign Reda Khadra from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Placheta spent the final months of last season trying to get back to fitness before eventually working his way into manager David Wagner's plans. He has since fallen out of favour yet again, though, with just 445 minutes accumulated in the Sky Bet Championship this term.

Another move is now on the cards as The Telegraph reports Swansea have agreed a deal to sign Placheta, with a medical set to be completed today. The 25-year-old, who can play anywhere in attacking midfield or even at left-back, has an opportunity to revive his career in South Wales.
