Birmingham City face one of their direct relegation rivals when they travel to The Den to face Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.

One point and one place currently separates the two sides with Millwall ahead by one point, and boasting a goal difference of one more. Both sides are looking over their shoulders with Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday just behind them.

The two sides played to a 1-1 draw back in September. Kevin Nisbet opened the scoring but Jay Stansfield equalised for the hosts. Birmingham are unbeaten in their last four matches against Millwall and will hope to preserve that record.

Here is the latest injury and team news ahead of kick-off at The Den.

Birmingham City team news

Dion Sanderson serves the second of his three game ban. He was red carded against Sunderland and the appeal was unsuccessful, and so he’s already missed the trip to Hull, and will also miss next Tuesday’s clash with Middlesbrough.

Krystian Bielik has a torn stomach muscle and is expected to be out for the coming weeks. His absence is a blow given how well he’s done in the centre-back role.

Marc Roberts wasn’t in the squad against Hull, and that meant that he missed a second game in a row for Blues. Roberts has been dealing with a tight calf and his potential absence leaves Blues low on options at the back.

Alfie Chang is Birmingham’s only long-term absentee. He suffered a serious knee injury in August and is out for the remainder of the campaign.

Out: Alfie Chang, Dion Sanderson, Krystian Bielik. Doubtful: Marc Roberts.

Millwall team news

Tom Bradshaw is expected to miss a large part of the remainder of the campaign. He’s out for at least six weeks with an achilles injury.

“Bradders saw the specialist on Monday,” manager Neil Harris told the South London Press. “Nothing has changed. We know he has got an achilles injury and he’s going to be a minimum of six weeks – maybe up to eight weeks.”

Millwall’s attacking options are limited with Kevin Nisbet also ruled out with a long-term issue in recent weeks. He’s set to be on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old has been ruled out since the end of January.

On-loan Luton Town midfielder Allan Campbell hasn't made the last four matchday squads. He's not played a league match for the Lions since mid-December.

Right-back Wes Harding hasn’t made the last two match day squads. He was named as a substitute in Harris’ first game but then hasn’t featured since.

Shaun Hutchinson has had a few setbacks with a calf issue, which has limited him to just nine league games. He last made a match-day squad at the start of February against Hull City but has missed out the last six.

Out: Kevin Nisbet, Shaun Hutchinson and Tom Bradshaw. Doubt: Allan Campbell and Wes Harding.
