Birmingham City became the target of a joke during The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix on Sunday night.

Birmingham City have caught an insult during part-ower Tom Brady’s Netflix roast on Sunday night. The famed Super Bowl winner was brave enough to take part in a roast in Los Angeles, with comedians, ex-teammates and others taking their turns to send comedic insults Brady’s way.

Superstar comedian Kevin Hart hosted the roast, while roaster Jeff Ross also heavily featured. Will Ferrell, Kim Kardashian, Randy Moss, Rob Gronkowski and many others also stepped up to the podium to take a turn, with the event streamed live on Netflix and lasting around three hours in total.

There were insults aplenty thrown Brady’s way, and one of them actually involved the club he part owns - Birmingham City. Brady is part of Knighthead Capital Management LLC, who own 45.96% of the club through affiliate Shelby Companies Ltd.

During the roast, famed ex-New England head coach Bill Belichick took to the stage, introduced by Ferrell’s Anchorman character Rob Burgundy, and during his roast of his former quarter-back, Belichick took a shot at Blues following their relegation from the Championship on Saturday.

“I see your soccer team Birmingham City got knocked down to another tier in the English football league,” Belichick said. “For those not aware of the intricacies of English football and their obscure regulation system, let me say...I'll put it in English for you...they suck.

“Not so easy running a team, is it Tom? A little coaching advice, stick to American football, you're really good at that.” A tough insult for Brady and Blues to take, but a pretty sharp joke from Belichick to be aware of the fate City suffered just 24 hours or so before.
