Birmingham City are reportedly 'showing an interest' in signing Peterborough United defender Harrison Burrows.
According to our friends at the Peterborough Telegraph, a move to Sheffield United has been agreed but there is a hold-up. The Blades are unable to commit to spending any money until the proposed takeover at Bramall Lane is complete.

Three Championship clubs have 'constantly' been bidding for Burrows according to owner Darragh MacAnthony. A 'massive' League One club, rumoured to Birmingham is also 'really wants him'.
All of the interested parties believe that Peterborough are demanding too much for a player that is out of contract next summer. The 22-year-old got 15 assists and six goals last season however and was crowned the 2023/24 Player of the Season.
Speaking on the clubs subscription channel, McAnthony said: ""Harrison is coveted by multiple clubs,” MacAnthony, who is in Spain with the first-team squad, said. “Three Championship clubs have constantly been bidding for him and one massive League One really wants him.
They all tell me we are asking too much for a player entering the last year of his deal, but I ask them how they would value a homegrown 22 year-old who won the League One player-of-the-year award last season? He’s under 24 and he’s been with us since he was nine so I’m actually very relaxed about his contract situation as we’d get millions from a tribunal if it went that far.

It’s difficult for a League One club to be able to keep the League One player of the season for another year especially as he can get 4-6 times more in wages. We have his replacement in the building already and what a fine player and leader he looks already.”
Burrows is a product of Peterborough's academy and last season, he played a part in 30 of Peterborough's goals with 12 assists and 12 goals. To date he has appeared 185 times for the Posh with 40 assists and 20 goals. His primary position is left-back but he did play as a centre midfielder in the EFL Trophy last term.
The homegrown star was also entrusted with the captain’s armband on many occasions last season. TransferMarkt has given Burrows a transfer value of €3.20m, which translates to about £2.69m.
