It was a weekend for defences to shine in the Sky Bet Championship, as nine clean sheets were kept out of the 12 matches played. That didn’t make for a lack of goals, though, with a total of 25 scored over the weekend of March 10-12.
There were some big results at both ends of the table as Birmingham City picked up a 2-0 win over Rotherham United to go 10 points clear of the drop, whereas Sheffield United were beaten by fellow promotion chasers Luton Town.
Elsewhere, Queens Park Rangers put an end to their woeful form with a surprise 1-0 victory over Watford. There were also notable victories for Middlesbrough away at Swansea City, and Stoke City on home soil against Blackburn Rovers.

Kept a clean sheet and made five saves as The Hatters completed a surprise 1-0 win away at Sheffield United.
3. RB: Ki-Jana Hoever (Stoke City) - 8.32
Stoke may have conceded twice vs Blackburn but Wolves loanee Hoever scored two from right-back to help his side to a 3-2 win.
4. CB: Kevin Long (Birmingham City) - 8.74*
His best performance for Blues so far, with the second goal of the game and a brilliant 10 aerials won. Also recorded a remarkable 11 clearances in the 2-0 win vs Rotherham.
