The 37-year-old spent a season-and-a-half at the Toughseet Community Stadium, netting four goals in 55 games. He's been floating around the Championship and League One for the last few seasons, and now he could be offered the chance to join what would be the 12th club of his career.
Stockport might benefit having someone of Jerome's experience, given he's played senior football for the last 20 years. He boasts just under 750 appearances with 164 goals for the likes of Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Norwich City, Stoke City, Derby County and Goztepe.

Hide AdDave Challinor's side have come up after winning the League Two title last season and like Birmingham they have been proactive in the transfer market. More than 11 players have arrived this summer, including Lewis Fiorini from Manchester City and Michael Mellon on loan from Burnley.
Stockport paid fees for Fiorini as well as with Andrew Wogan, Jayden Fevrier, Jay Mingi and Corey Addai. Lewis Bate, Callum Connolly, Jack Diamond, Sam Hughes, Ethan Mann and Max Metcalfe meanwhile joined on free transfers.
Blues are to host the newly promoted side at St Andrew's on Tuesday, December 3 with the reverse fixture at Edgeley Park scheduled for New Year's Day on January 1, 2025. Birmingham haven't played a competitive match against Stockport since December 2001, and that was a 3-0 win for Steve Bruce's side that day.
