Birmingham City academy product Trevan Sanusi is attracting attention from a plethora of Premier League clubs after impressing for the Blues second string last season.

The 16-year-old trained alongside John Eustace’s senior squad throughout the campaign but is yet to make a first-team debut. That has not prevented the winger from coming on to the radar of some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, with the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United and treble winners Manchester City all reportedly monitoring his progress.

The Daily Mail have claimed all four clubs have watched the youngster in recent months as the Blues academy continues to produce some highly promising prospects.

Blues consider move for Bundesliga winger

Former West Bromwich Albion winger Oliver Burke is reportedly ‘among a number of options’ being considered by Birmingham City.

The 13-times capped Scotland forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Millwall after struggling to make an impact with German club Werder Bremen. The move to the Bundesliga side marked the latest step in a career full of ups and downs that has seen Burke play for the likes of RB Leipzig, Nottingham Forest and Celtic.

After joining West Brom in the summer of 2017, the winger went on to make just 24 appearances during a three year stay with the Baggies before eventually departing for Sheffield United in September 2020.

Speaking of his departure from the Hawthorns, he said: “When you’re playing week-in, week-out, you have the confidence and you have the chances, more chance to create and show what you are doing. Sometimes when you’re coming on for five minutes here and ten minutes there, you’re trying to show everything and what you can do.

“Sometimes in those split moments you think I’ve got to score, I’ve got to assist, but you realise you only have five or ten minutes and the pressure is hard and to make an impact in such a short space of time is difficult.”

BirminghamLive have now reported Birmingham are keen to hand Burke another opportunity to impress in the Championship and want to make him their third attacking addition of the summer. John Eustace has already brought in Tyler Roberts and Koji Miyoshi and is keen to add Burke to their squad in light of Luton Town’s reported interest in Tahith Chong.
