Birmingham City have until the deadline to conclude any final bits of incoming business. They can also let some players leave before then if needed.
The Blues have adapted well to life in League One since their relegation from the Championship. They slipped out of the second tier last year after finishing in the bottom three with Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town.

Birmingham City target Sheffield United’s Kurtis Havenhand
Birmingham are in ‘advanced’ talks with Sheffield United attacker Kurtis Havenhand, according to Football League World. He could be seen by the Midlands outfit as someone to add more competition and depth to their attacking ranks ahead of the second-half of the season as they look to get over the line.
Havenhand, 19, would be a useful addition for the future if the Blues managed to strike an agreement with the Blades. He has been on the books at Bramall Lane for his whole career to date.
The teenager has risen up through the academy ranks of Sheffield United and has been a regular for the South Yorkshire club at various different youth levels over recent times. He initially broke into their Under-18’s side before making the step up to the Under-21’s.

Birmingham City eye Kurtis Havenhand
Sheffield United handed the prospect his first professional deal last summer. He wasn’t the only development squad player to put pen-to-paper either, with Jack Waldron, Jayden Prunty, Mekhi Haughton-Parris, Billy Blacker and Sam Aston doing the same with him.
Davies has recently shared this update on his recruitment plans: “We have been looking for cover in that left-back position. I think we’re in good shape generally. There’s one or two conversations to be had with players who need a bit of game time and exposure elsewhere. That’s something that might happen but there’s nothing that will affect us too much.
“With Grant (Hanley) and Kieran (Dowell) coming in we’re already stronger than we were when we went into the window and I always think any club at any level, the objective going into a transfer window is to come out of it in better shape and I think we are doing that.”

“It was important to stay calm and recognise that we’d been the better team. It was a test we don’t always have, especially at home and I said to them (the players) that it’s something we must remember and use in the future because there’s going to be games where you aren’t always going to get into the lead. That was the big plus for me, the response to adversity.”
