Birmingham City’s ‘lack of cutting edge’ will result in them losing to Norwich City, believes one leading EFL pundit.

Blues travel to Carrow Road in the hope of addressing their poor run of form since the turn of the international break.

John Eustace's side have lost and drawn twice in the four matches they have played in September, and tomorrow is the last chance for them to avoid going winless for an entire month.

Birmingham have struggled to find the back of the net, and drew a blank against both QPR and Watford. It’s see them move down the table slightly to 10th, though only a point separates them and the Canaries. A win tomorrow coupled with results going in their favour could take them to as high as fifth.

One former Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder believes that they’ll suffer defeat on their travels tomorrow.

In his weekly Sky Sports column, David Prutton said in his prediction “It has been two really poor results in a row for Norwich. They have now lost three of their last four and a bit of that early-season optimism has started to dissipate.

“The same can be said of Birmingham, who are without a win in four now after such a good start. A lack of cutting edge in front of goal looks a problem, and I think it will be the Canaries who take this.”

He finished off his assessment of the match by predicting that Norwich City will claim a 2-0 win in front of their home supporters.

Birmingham City are without some key players tomorrow ahead of their clash in Norfolk tomorrow. Lee Buchanan has joined the absentee list, whilst Keshi Anderson has also been ruled out which means there are opportunities for fringe players to step up to the plate.

Blues haven't had the best of records against Norwich, and last season's 1-0 win in February 2023 was their first win there since 2009.
