Blues and the Canaries are both out of form with the former winless since August 26, whilst Norwich suffered a 6-2 defeat to Plymouth Argyle on their travels last weekend.

Norwich were in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday night and gave a good account of themselves in a 2-1 defeat. September’s been a bad month for them however with only one win and four defeats.

With all that in mind, here’s the latest injury and team news ahead of Norwich City vs Birmingham City in the EFL Championship:

Left-back Lee Buchanan is the latest to join the injury list after sustaining a training ground injury. He rolled his ankle in training, and is expected to be out until after the international break in mid-October.

Fellow summer signing Keshi Anderson is on the treatment table after picking up an injury against QPR. A hamstring injury is to rule him out to between six to eight weeks.

Ethan Laird, George Hall and Tyler Roberts remain sidelined with injuries meanwhile. Laird and Hall suffered hamstring injuries in August against Bristol City and Cardiff City respectively.

Tyler Roberts has a calf problem that has ruled him out for most of August, and now all of September. All three players are not close to a return with Roberts suffering a setback.
