Birmingham are said to be ‘looking to strengthen their midfield options’ and have ‘registered interest’ in signing Kilkenny, before next week’s deadline. Kilkenny spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Stoke City and Charlton Athletic, and this term has been an unused substitute for the Cherries in their opening two Premier League matches.

Kilkenny is a versatile midfielder who mainly plays as a defensive midfielder, but can also play further forward, could represent a good addition as Eustace eyes more depth to his squad.

Statue for Brady?

"Give him whatever you want,” was the response from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichik when asked if Tom Brady deserves a statue.

Brady is a minority owner of Birmingham, and was seen in England earlier this month taking in their games. The 46-year-old who retired from the NFL this year, will be honoured by the Patriots in their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles next month.

Sky Sports News have reported that Southampton have made an offer of £10m to Welsh club Swansea City for their centre-back Nathan Wood.

The 21-year-old was signed by Russell Martin during his time in South Wales, and now wants to reunite with him on the South Coast. Saints have money to spend following the sales of James Ward-Prowse and Romeo Lavia to West Ham and Chelsea respectively.
