Championship team of the week dominated by Birmingham City, Norwich City, Watford & Sunderland - gallery

The third game week of the Championship took place over the weekend, and once again Birmingham City claimed victory - having beaten Bristol City 2-0.

Blues won on their travels for the first time this season thanks to goals from Koji Myoshi who netted in the third minute of added on time in the first-half and then Lukas Jutkiewicz made the most of Rob Dickie's red card to make it 2-0.

John Eustace's side remain unbeaten and are just two points off of early pace setters Ipswich Town who claimed a third successive win of the season. In other results in the Championship, West Brom drew 1-1 with Leeds United at Elland Road on Friday evening, with Carlos Corberan's side going in front in controversial circumstances but the winless Whites got themselves back on level terms and could count themselves unlucky not to win.

Perhaps one of the performances of the weekend has to go to Norwich City, who won 3-1 against Millwall in front of the Sky Sports television cameras at Carrow Road on Sunday. The Canaries had three different goal scorers with Jonathan Rowe netting in the first-half and then both Josh Sargent and Ashley Barnes found the back of the net in a seven-minute spell.

Birmingham and Norwich were the only two teams that won a match by more than a one-goal margin, and in total there were nine wins out of a possible 12 matches over the weekend.
