Birmingham City boss John Eustace has admitted that their fixture cancellation over the weekend has helped Krystian Bielik and Tahiti Chong’s road to full recoveries.
The Blues saw their game against Swansea City on Saturday postponed as a mark of respect after Queen Elizabeth II’s death last Thursday.

The Midlands club ended up winning 1-0 thanks to Maxime Colin’s first goal, but the duo didn’t last the full 90 minutes.
‘Fitter and sharper’...
Eustace has said in his pre-West Brom press conference:
“Krystian (Bielik) and (Tahith) Chongy have been able to up their programme this week, especially over the weekend to try and get them a little bit fitter and sharper.”
He added:
“The injured lads who are coming back into the squad are getting fitter and fitter.

Birmingham are a work in progress at the moment and will hope their young squad can start to build a bit of momentum.
The trip to West Brom on Wednesday is a tough one but they are going up against a team who are under pressure to get a result having only won once so far this term.
Bielik joined the Blues in late July on loan from Derby County and adds more competition and depth to Eustace’s squad.
Chong is a player the club knows all about after his temporary stint in the last campaign and he has since made his switch permanent.
