Wolves, Crystal Palace and Everton braced for transfer disappointment after Ipswich Town development
West Ham defender Ben Johnson is poised to move to newly promoted Ipswich Town, according to a report.
Various sources including ExWHUEmployee and Sky Sports are reporting that Johnson has turned down the offer of a new five-year contract at the London Stadium and will move to the Premier League newcomers. The East Anglian Daily Times and the Ipswich Star have backed up the reports by revealing the Tractor Boys are in advanced talks to sign Johnson.

Hide AdIt means that Crystal Palace, Everton, Wolves, Southampton, Rangers and Leeds are all set to miss out on the right-back after the six clubs registered an interest in signing him.
The 24-year-old came through the academy system at West Ham and appeared 22 times for the first team last season. He found himself out of the first-team picture towards the end of the season and was an unused substitute in their final four games.
Despite a change in management with Julen Lopetegui replacing the outgoing David Moyes, it seems Johnson is entertaining the idea of playing his football away from the capital. A late offer was made by West Ham to Johnson after making a previous proposition but they have been unsuccessful in their attempts to keep him at the club.
