Former Birmingham City and Ipswich Town star bounces back after Sheffield United snub
Former Birmingham City midfielder Andre Dozzell has joined Championship side Portsmouth.
The 25-year-old has signed a one year deal with the League One champions with an option of a further 12 months. He joins after spending the last five months on loan at Birmingham City, where he made 10 appearances.

Hide AdDozzell was released by QPR at the end of last season, and had been on trial at Sheffield United, but they passed up on the opportunity which has allowed him to join Pompey for the upcoming campaign.
“He’s chosen to come here over other options and is someone who has a real ambition to succeed at this club," said John Mousinho to the official club website.
“Andre is a very technical midfielder and has the athleticism to get around the pitch and compete, so we’re delighted to welcome him to Pompey.”
As mentioned, Dozzell made 10 appearances for the Blues, but most of those came when Tony Mowbray was in charge. He fell out of favour when there was a change in management, and didn't play a part in the final six games of the season.
His last act as a Birmingham City player was a 36-minute cameo against Preston North End on April 1, but then he wouldn't make the squad for four of the last six games.
