Birmingham City injury update ahead of Hull City clash

Lee Bowyer has received a double injury boost ahead Saturday’s game against Hull

Lee Bowyer’s men face Hull City at St. Andrew’s for the first of back-to-back home games before taking on Middlesbrough in mid-week .

Blues expect to have Teden Mengi and Jeremie Bela are both available for tomorrow’s game against Hull (11 March).

Mengi has been out for the last four matches but the Manchester United loanee could now feature against the Tigers after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Jeremie Bela is also available for selection after the winger missed last weekend’s game against Bristol City, but George Friend is set for a further four weeks on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

Troy Deeney also remains absent as he builds up his fitness and Maxime Colin is a doubt for tomorrow’s game.

Bowyer’s men are looking to record back-to-back victories after Saturday’s impressive 3-1 win at Ashton Gate, with Hull looking to bounce back from defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion.
