Youri Tielemans reveals why he chose to join Aston Villa

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Youri Tielemans on a free transfer.
The Belgian international officially became a Villa player on July 1 following the expiry of his contract with Leicester City.

Hide AdThe 26-year-old arrives with plenty of European experience, having racked up a combined 66 appearances in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.
And Tielemans laid out his reasons for making the move across the Midlands when he sat down for his first interview with VillaTV.
He said: “When I had a few chats with the manager, his ambition, his passion and the way he led the team impressed me and made me decide to come to Aston Villa.
“It’s a big club. I’m really excited.”
Tielemans added: “It’s a new challenge for me after four-and-a-half years at Leicester.
“It’s been a good time but now is the time to move on for myself and my family.
“Now I’m at Aston Villa, I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to get started.”
