So far this Premier League season, the hottest moments of drama appear to have come off the pitch and from Stockley Park as VAR causes controversy week in, week out.
Aston Villa have seen matches affected by the video referee this term but manager Unai Emery has largely maintained his cool with decisions in comparison with other top-flight bosses who are spitting feathers - the Spaniard even told Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp to stop getting so wound up about the VAR mishap in the Reds' meeting with Spurs.
Elsewhere, Wolves have been one of the sides at the centre of the VAR storm. In the very first match of the season, Gary O'Neil was left frustrated not to see his team given a penalty when Andre Onana clattered into Sasa Kalajdzic and there's been more frustration against Newcastle United and Sheffield United in recent weeks.
BirminghamWorld looks at what the Premier League table may look like if VAR simply hadn't intervened this season.
