For Aston Villa, the pause offers an opportunity to reflect on the impact made by Unai Emery since he was named as successor to former manager Steven Gerrard earlier this season. The former Arsenal manager was appointed ahead of a 4-0 defeat at Newcastle United but officially took charge for the first time as Leon Bailey, Lucas Digne and Jacob Ramsey all netted in a memorable 3-1 home win against Manchester United eight days later.
