Aston Villa’s final pre-season game ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign gets underway on Saturday evening when they take on French Ligue 1 side, Rennes.

The claret & blue go into the contest unbeaten in pre-season with three wins and one draw, the draw coming in the most recent test with Manchester United.

When and where is the match?

The game takes place at Roazhon Park, the home of the Ligue 1 side on Saturday July 30th.

Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 (BST).

Some may remember that this isn’t the first time Villa and Rennes have squared off.

The two have met twice before, back in 2001 in the UEFA Intertoto Cup group stages.
