Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard says he and the staff are ‘concerned’ about Leon Bailey’s latest injury and confirmed that the winger will be sent for an MRI scan over the coming days.
The Jamaican international was brought off towards the end of a first half after picking up an ankle injury early in the 2-0 win over Norwich City.

It’s yet another injury in Bailey’s stop-start season and has left Gerrard feeling incredibly frustrated.
“It’s an ankle issue,” explained the boss in his post-match presser.
“In terms of the extent and the damage, I’m sure he’ll be MRI scanned in the next 24/48 hours but I’m really disappointed and frustrated for him because he’s worked ever so hard to get back. He’s been training ever so well.

“And then not too far after that he has to come off the pitch.
“He’s frustrated, we’re frustrated and I’m sure the supporters are as well.”
“He’s obviously going to be a major doubt against Burnley because it’s very rare you come off the pitch after 30 odd minutes and are available for the next game,” added Gerrard.
“We are concerned about it.”
