Aston Villa are reportedly the ‘most feasible’ destination for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze amid speculation over a potential move away from Spain in the summer transfer window. The Nigerian, who is also said to be tracked by Liverpool, has scored 13 goals and contributed 11 assists in all competitions this term.
Chukwueze recently showed he is capable of starring on one of the world’s biggest stages, as he terrorised Real Madrid defenders at the Bernabeu on April 8. He was unstoppable on the day, scoring twice, registering three shots on target and completing seven dribbles.

In January, it became public knowledge that Emery wanted to sign a winger but Villa ended up recalling Bertrand Traore instead.
The Burkinabe has scored twice in the Premier League since his loan in Turkey was cut short, making him a decent option for the time being, but the new Lions head coach is still likely to add another wide man to his repertoire. Leon Bailey hasn’t been consistent enough, whereas John McGinn is arguably better centrally.
Chukwueze could be the man to kick off Villa’s recruitment in July, as Spanish outlet Fichajes has claimed the Lions are “one of the most interested teams” and - as it stands - are the “most feasible” club for the 23-year-old to join. Villarreal are likely to drive a hard bargain, however, with reports in Nigeria suggesting an €80 million (£70.6 million) price tag has been set out.
It comes as no surprise that such a hefty figure has been reported due to a wide interest in Chukwueze’s services, as well as the winger’s fantastic form and high potential. Capable of playing on either flank or through the centre as a false nine, the 5ft 6in winger has devastating pace, a low centre of gravity, and a clinical aim. This could be one to watch.
