The dreadful statistic hanging over the head of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard following weekend fixtures

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard and Everton boss Frank Lampard have both found themselves with a dreadful unwanted statistic above their heads following last weekend’s results.
Villa’s 3-1 loss at Crystal Palace and Everton’s 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest means the win records of Gerrard and Lampard since their respective appointments have now dipped below that of what Gary Neville achieved during his time at La Liga side, Valencia.

Former Manchester United defender and now Sky Sports pundit Neville was vastly ridiculed for his short spell in management with Valencia.
He lasted just 28 games with the Spanish giants before being given the boot in a spell which is widely remembered as a bit of a disaster.
Neville won 10 of those matches in charge giving him a win percentage of 35.7% across his entire spell, a percentage that now incredibly eclipses that of what Gerrard and Lampard hold in their current positions.
Villa’s loss to Palace took the former Liverpool captain’s record to a less than impressive 11 wins in 31 overall and dropped him under that infamous Neville threshold to 35.5%.

The two former England midfielders are now among the top three favourites to be the first to lose their job this season in the Premier League.
