'Let's see' - Aston Villa loan man facing nervous injury wait as EFL boss shares update
Aston Villa are back in Premier League action next week
Aston Villa won 2-1 at home to Chelsea on Saturday night. Marco Asensio scored both of their goals against the Blues.
Unai Emery’s side showed great character to turn the game around after going behind 1-0. They are now sat in 7th place in the Premier League table.
Next up is an away trip in the league to Crystal Palace on Tuesday. They then face Cardiff City in the FA Cup on Friday night at Villa Park.
Aston Villa injury update regarding loaned out Louie Barry

Hull City are sweating on the fitness of Aston Villa loanee Louie Barry after he went off against Sunderland this weekend with a knee injury. The winger was given the green light to link up with the Tigers on a temporary basis this winter and he has made four appearances so far.
Barry, 21, has been loaned out by the Midlands outfit to the likes of Ipswich Town, MK Dons, Salford City, Swindon Town and Stockport County in the past to get some experience. He was a hit with the latter and scored 15 goals for them earlier in this campaign.
Hull brought him in last month to boost their attacking department but are now facing a nervous wait to learn the extent of the damage to his knee. They won 1-0 away at the Stadium of Light and speaking afterwards, their manager Ruben Selles said: "It didn't look as bad as we expected during the first minutes, so I still need to wait for some confirmation from the doctor, and we need to make some tests.
“Let's see when we arrive back home because it's a little bit too early to say. He was OK right now when I saw him before I came to the press conference. It looks like he thinks it's less than he expected, so let's see."
What now for Aston Villa?
Aston Villa will want to build some momentum now and get a positive result against Crystal Palace. They should be in confident mood after winning against Chelsea.
Speaking afterwards, Emery said: “It was fantastic for the supporters in Villa Park. We were, in the last two matches and even before against West Ham, drawing. Drawing against Ipswich, drawing against West Ham, drawing against Liverpool, and more or less deserving more.
“We were very demanding inside to speak about how we can improve and how we can get better, being close to winning in the level we want.
“Chelsea was a very good test today. We started very badly, not controlling the game, conceding one goal. We started not getting our duels, not getting our game plan, pressing them because they were breaking our press.
“Progressively we were feeling better and getting confidence during the match. In the second half, the energy they (the fans) transmitted to us and the players was fantastic, and as well intelligent playing, trying to keep ball possession longer to dominate and to stop them.
“We were thinking maybe we could be tired after we played on Wednesday. The players that were tired or with some pain like Morgan, like Tyrone Mings, we subbed them with players who helped a lot like Lamare Bogarde, Leon (Bailey) and Andrés (Garcia).”
