Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez took to Instagram to share a three word message with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, after Argentina continued their unbeaten streak as they beat Colombia 1-0.

Martinez was in inspired form, pulling off save after save to ensure the three points went back to Argentina and kept his 11th clean sheet on just his 16th cap.

In the current World Cup qualifiers, Martinez is yet to be breached.

The man in question, Martinez who has shone in recent years for Inter Milan scored what proved to be the winner and extend Argentina’s winning streak to 29 games.

The South American’s have not tasted defeat since 2019.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed a huge change in his career. He was on the periphery at Arsenal for most of his career, before an injury to Bernd Leno against Brighton back in project restart, Martinez shone for Arsenal and got himself a move to Villa for around £20 million, and has been their number 1 ever since.

He was also a major reason behind Argentina’s Copa America win and his position from back up to superstar has been remarkable.

After the Colombia game, the Villa ‘keeper took to Instagram, posing with Copa America trophy, next to the Inter hitman and Atletico Madrid attacker Angel Correa. Inter’s striker, Martinez, commented “beautiful night brother” as Argentina gear up for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, which is scheduled to be played in November and December this year.

Martinez’s exploits with Argentina has also translated to Villa, where, with manager Steven Gerrard having bought in a plethora of talent such as Lucas Digne, Philippe Coutinho and Kerr Smith, Villa can definitely push for a continental place next season.
